2023 NHL Draft: Oilers Select 395 Players Over 41 Drafts
Oilers Stock Up on Talent in Nashville
The Edmonton Oilers have selected a total of 395 players over the course of 41 NHL Entry Drafts, which are held annually in June and allow teams to select players who have turned 18 years old.
The Oilers' most recent draft occurred at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, where they made headlines with their acquisition of Zack Kassian, along with a 1st Round Pick (29th overall), a 3rd Round Pick (2024), and a 2nd Round Pick (2025) from the Arizona Coyotes.
The Oilers have a rich history in the NHL, having made 44 Playoff Appearances from 1979-80 to 2023-24. The team's success can be attributed in part to their strong drafting record, which has seen them acquire numerous talented players over the years.
